A significant Income Tax raid has taken place in Jharkhand targeting the premises of prominent businessman RC Rungta. Conducted by a team from Bihar, the raid focused on Rungta's residence, along with three of his plants in Ramgarh district, adjacent to the state capital Ranchi. The operation, initiated early on Thursday, is linked to allegations of tax evasion, and it is reported that multiple CRPF personnel accompanied the Income Tax team during the raids.

The Income Tax team targeted three specific factories owned by RC Rungta, located in Hehal of Barkakana, Argada, and Kuju OP. Simultaneously, raids were carried out at Rungta's residence cum office near Punjab National Bank in Ramgarh.

The team, with vehicles bearing Bihar registration numbers, indicates its origin from Bihar. The businesses under scrutiny include Maa Chinnamastika Iron Sponge and Cement Factory, Jharkhand Ispat Private Limited, and Alok Steel. The raids were conducted with CRPF personnel, and the authorities are investigating potential tax evasion.
